September 2025 Meeting Minutes

REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

September 1, 2025

 

The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, September 1, 2025 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.

 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:02pm.

 Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Andrew Plessel, Tip Piper and Dylan Brandt

 Absent: None

 

Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for August 4, 2025, payment of bills totaling $20,220.09 and financial reports, Brandt seconded

 Ayes- 5           Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

Road Work Discussions:  Discussed Rock/Gravel Bunker setup on Main Street lot next to shed.  Gravel will be brought in to form a ramp to access bunkers from.

 

Water and Drain Tile Issues Affecting Residences South of the Co-op – Follow Up:  Discussed the lands usage for the Solar Array project and it was deemed by the council the Building Permit for the project should be reinstated as the drainage ditch has been repaired by Gold Eagle Coop.  Stucki made the motion to Reinstate permit, Rout seconded.

 Piper abstained from the vote as he is directly affected by the situation that was created when the water way was removed.

 Ayes- 4            Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Earl Hill Business Merger: Discussions were had in regards to the merger of Earl Hill’s office with that of Todd Holmes and Holmes Law Firm.  It was decided that the council would like to have Todd Holmes come to the next council meeting if possible.

 

City Shed – Ball Diamond Usage: Council discussed the possibility of the County taking possession of the Graveled area of the south park next to the County Shed that used to be the infield for the ballfield that was removed.  Mayor Paul Buns will discuss with the County to judge interest by the County.

Discussed the need for trimming of tree on the Post Office lot.  Stucki will get a quote.
