October 2025 Meeting Minutes
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
October 6, 2025
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Dylan Brandt at 6:11pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Andrew Plessel, Tip Piper and Dylan Brandt
Absent: Mayor Paul Buns
Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for September 1, 2025, payment of bills totaling $32,297.21 and financial reports, Stucki seconded
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Mayor Pro Tem Abstained) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
Water Tower Repair Pictures and Macquire Iron Quote: Council discussed the Water Tower “leak” that has caused water to spray from the top of the water tower were the cap sits on the tower. It was discovered via pictures taken to not be a leak but rather the aerator spraying water inside and causing water to run down the tower cap and coming out a natural air gap in the tower. No repair by Macguire required.
Earl Merger Information Email: Discussed the Email sent by Earl explaining the merger and personnel of the new law firm. It was decided to invite another attorney to the meeting next month to discuss the future representation of the City of Woden
County Shed – Ball Diamond Usage: Discussions about the County using/renting/buying basically the infield of the old ball diamond at the south park. Dylan will discuss with the County Engineer the possibility of looking into one of the scenarios for the county to use this space with the County Attorney and bring more information to the next month’s meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Annual Financial Report: The report was reviewed with the Council.
Building Permit – 31 Bush Ave Shed: Permit was reviewed by council. Piper made the motion to approve the permit, Rout seconded the motion.

Open for discussion:
Chris Lamont from Midwest Waste stopped in and gave the council an update on the Garbage Cans that were to be delivered to the City of Woden upon the start date of the Garbage contract between the two entities. The council was satisfied with the discussions.
Bill Rout informed the Council that the Hot Water Heater in the Woden Fire Dept. building was replaced and brought up for discussion the City of Woden covering 50% of the cost as the owners of the building. Plessel made the motion to agree to these terms, Rout seconded.
