REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

April 27, 2026

 

The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.

 

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 5:55 pm.

 

Council Members Present: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Andrew Plessel, Tip Piper and Dylan Brandt

 

Absent: None

 

Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for April 6, 2026, payment of bills totaling $11,951.35 and financial reports, Stucki seconded

 

 Ayes- 5           Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

ICAP Grant Application for 2026 - Discussion: Tip will be bringing in paperwork to go through with purchasing the AED that will be placed in the Community Center. Pricing for the AED will be between $900-$1200 dollars and the council has agreed to purchase it for the town.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Set Public Hearing, 26-27 Budget for April 27 Council Meeting:  

 

 

Resolution 26-2- Budget Adoption Resolution: The council adopts the budget for the next fiscal year. Motion made by Rout, seconded by Brandt

 

Ayes- 5            Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

Grazing Lease Pre-Approval for Jake Meinders: The council agreed to lease the lagoon for grazing purposes only to Jake. Motion by Plessel, seconded by Brandt

 

Ayes-5             Nays-0             Motion Carried

 

 

 

 

Storm Drainage: Brandt ran the discussion. The City will be ordering a snake camera 165’ for $750 off of amazon to be able to map and find issues with the City storm drainage system.

Ben has a tile Jetter that the council discussed having him use on the problem areas this summer and once those are handled having him do yearly jetting on a schedule such as the sewer pump schedule to fix problem tiles.

 

Nitrite Sample Violation: Discussed with Paul why samples are being missed and council determined the water operator has final responsibility to ensure they are done properly and in a timely fashion.

 

Open for Discussion: Having a city burn pile at the triangle was brought up again. The council has decided not to have a city run burn pile at this time.
