REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
November 6, 2023
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:01pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, and Andy Plessel
Absent: Dylan Brandt, Tip Piper
Stucki made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for October 9, 2023, payment of bills totaling $22,293.15 and financial reports, Plessel seconded

OLD BUSINESS
Public Hearing for Water Fund Budget Amendment: Hearing was opened at 6:02pm
Hearing was closed at 6:27, Motion was made to approve Amendment by Plessel, 2nd by Rout
Ayes- 3 Nays- 0 Motion Carried
City Burn Site - Update: No further information gathered, tabled till next month.
Certified Water and Sewer Operator – Progress Update: No further progress, tabled till next month.
NEW BUSINESS
Ball Park Usage: Alternative usage of the Ballpark was discussed, looking for options of what is best for the property. Discussed the option of selling to a developer or the city doing something else with the property. The discussion was put on hold until the full council can meet and discuss.
Water Tower Compression Pump: Council discussed purchasing a new pump at a cost of approximately $650. Rout made the motion to purchase, Plessel seconded

DNR Water Permit Reissue: Discussed was the reissue of the city Water Permit due to testing not being submitted on time.
Resolution Approving the Central Disposal Landfill submitted to Iowa DNR: Motion by Plessel to approve, 2nd by Stucki

Building Permit for 19 Bush Ave: Motion by Plessel to approve new shed building on property, 2nd by Rout
Ayes- 3 Nays- 0 Motion Carried
Open for Discussion: December meeting moved to Monday, Dec. 11 due to Council Members that are unavailable for the regular schedule of the first Monday of the month.
Adjournment: Plessel made motion to adjourn at 6:58 PM, Stucki seconded
