REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
July 7, 2025
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:02pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Andrew Plessel, Tip Piper and Dylan Brandt (6:28)
Absent: None
Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for June 2, 2025, payment of bills totaling $27,631.09 and financial reports, Piper seconded
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
Road Work Discussions: Nothing new, Tabled for Next Month.
City Office Clerkbooks Software Updates: Discussed the Software Update Schedule
Ragbrai: Discussed and answered questions in regards to Times of Day and Traffic Control.
NEW BUSINESS
Resolution 25-4 Hancock County Hazard Mitigation: Stucki made the motion to approve the plan, Plessel Seconded
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
Schutjer Farm Stand Sign: Piper made the motion to approve the sign posted on City Property, Rout seconded.
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
ICAP Grant Approval: The council was informed the grant for cameras at the ball field was approved.
Open for discussion:
Chicken Permit for Summer Wilson was presented to Council. Plessel made the motion to approve, Rout seconded.
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
Building Permit for Bill Rout was presented to Council. Plessel made the motion to approve, Piper seconded.
Ayes- 5 Nays- 0 Motion Carried
The corner of Way and 4th cleanup has not been done. Was discussed, Paul will clean up this week.
Hog slats that were approved in 2023 have still not been installed, county called for update on building permit.
