REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
July 1, 2024
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:00pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Tip Piper (6:20), Andy Plessel and Dylan Brandt (6:07)
Absent: None
Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for June 3, 2024, payment of bills totaling $55,349.41 and financial reports, Stucki seconded
Ayes- 3 Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
Certified Water and Sewer Operator – Progress Update: Tip Piper will be getting education information for the council.
ICAP Grant: Discussed using the Grant to purchase new Timer for the Weather Siren, waiting on paperwork from Jake Ingalls Electric for work performed.
Sewer Riser Repair Bids or Alternate Method: No updates, tabled till next month.
NEW BUSINESS
Road Work – Future Considerations Discussions: Presentation by Dylan Brandt on the cost of maintaining roads and methods the City could use in the future to help preserve the roads. Discussed options for Paving or Coating and costs involved. More information will be gathered and this subject will be revisited in the future.
Proposal for Informal Polling on Siren Activation Schedule from City Residents: The Council has agreed to send out a poll asking the residents their preferred future schedule for the Siren sounding in the City of Woden. Polls will be sent out with July water bills, to be returned and tabulated by the city to gain a consensus.
Open for Discussion: T-Ball Funds: It was determined by the Council that the excess $200 collected by the city for registration for T-Ball and not spent by the city could be used to purchase Equipment for T-Ball.

331 Way Ave: Justin Hassebroek, one of the owners of the property located at 331 Way Ave. has agreed to remove said property and leave lot in a level, clean and sellable state. The City Council has agreed to excuse the debt on said property of $24,400 as of 7/2/2024 in exchange. Property will then be sold.
