REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
January 6, 2025
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:00pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Tip Piper, and Dylan Brandt (6:15 arrival)
Absent: Andrew Plessel
Piper made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for December 2, 2024, payment of bills totaling $18,438.16 and financial reports, Stucki seconded
Ayes- 3 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
Hazard Mitigation Meeting – Andy Buffington: Moved to February Meeting.
Sewer Riser Repair Method Research: Tabled, nothing new looked into.
Resolution 25-1 – Depository Resolution: The council discussed the Resolution amount change of $750,000 limit for First State Bank held funds. Piper made the motion to approve changes, Stucki seconded.
Ayes- 3 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
Investment Policy Review: Council reviewed and discussed the changes to the City Investment Policy before voting on the Resolution to accept the Policy.
Resolution 25-2 – Investment Policy Resolution: The council discussed the updated Policy changes. Stucki made the motion to approve changes, Piper seconded.
Ayes- 3 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
ICAP Grant Acceptance: Council was informed of the acceptance by ICAP Grant to cover $1,000 of the cost to replace and upgrade the Video Equipment located in the Community Center for surveillance of Main Street.
NEW BUSINESS
Council Duties Review: Council reviewed the Duty List and updated contact information for Council.
Water Tower Disinfecting Contract – Maguire Iron: Council reviewed contract for Service from Maguire Iron to continue to provide service to the City Water Tower. Stucki made motion to accept 10 year contract, Rout seconded.

ICAP Grant Application for 2025 - Discussion: Council will be discussing items that may be appropriate for the city to purchase with the 2025 grant.
City Budget Planning Session: Discussed Budget Planning Schedule, and Funds Transfer from Emergency Fund to General Fund. Also had some preliminary discussions of a few areas of the Budget for consideration prior to next month’s planning session.
