REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

September 9, 2024

 

The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.

 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:00pm.

 Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Tip Piper, Andy Plessel and Dylan Brandt (6:14)

Absent: None

 

Piper made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for August 5, 2024, payment of bills totaling $13,504.50 and financial reports, Plessel seconded

  Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent)         Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

Sewer Riser Repair Bids or Alternate Method: Piper did some research, found no solution yet.  Tabled till next month.

 

Main street camera and DVR repair/replacement:  Waiting to hear from Contractor, Tabled till next month.

 

331 Way Ave Forgiveness of Debt and Lien Release Resolution: Plessel made the motion to move ahead with Resolution 24-6, Piper Seconded.

Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent)          Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

                                                             NEW BUSINESS

 

Fire Agency Board – City Council Appointed Member Needed: Rout volunteered for the appointment.  Rout made the motion to accept, Piper seconded.

Ayes- 5            Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

Annual Financial Report Review: The Council reviewed the report that was filed with the State.

 

Resolution to approve 28E Law Enforcement Services Agreement: The council discussed continuing with the County to provide Law services for the City of Woden.  Motion was made by Piper to accept the 28E agreement presented to the City, Rout seconded.

Ayes- 5            Nays- 0            Motion Carried

 

DNR Sanitary Survey of Woden Public Water Supply: Discussed the DNR report on the state of the Woden City Water Supply system.

 

Open for Discussion: Discussed Septic Sewer Tanks being added to the City Septic system and the requirements to add such a system by a property owner. 

 

Adjournment: Stucki made motion to adjourn at 7:01 PM, Rout seconded
