REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
September 4, 2023
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Dylan Brandt at 6:03pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Tip Piper, Andy Plessel and Dylan Brandt (Mayor Pro Tem)
Absent: Mayor Paul Buns (Dylan Brandt Acting Mayor Pro Tem Throughout proceedings)
Piper made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for August 7, 2023, payment of bills totaling $20488.35 and financial reports, Rout seconded

OLD BUSINESS
Chicken Ordinance No. 229 – Third Reading: Motion to Approve Third Reading by Piper, seconded by Piper.

City Burn Site - Update: No further information gathered, tabled till next month.
Certified Water and Sewer Operator – Progress Update: No further progress, tabled till next month.
Purchase of Spare Cylinder for Plow: Prices of approximately $850 with part numbers gathered by Piper, Motion to purchase parts made by Stucki, seconded by Rout

NEW BUSINESS
USDA Loan Report: Report was reviewed and discussed.
Annual Financial Report: Report was reviewed and discussed.
Trees on Post Office Lot:
Discussed trimming versus cutting down trees that appear to be dying on the north side of the Post Office building. Agreed by council to remove trees. Tentative date of set for the weekend of Sept. 23-24 for council members to gather and remove 2 trees.
2nd Chances Building Update: Gave council information in regards to ownership of the building and tax status. Owner of record with County is not owner who currently owns property. He is taking care of this with the intent to sell the building.
Fridge for Ballfield: Option of giving the old fridge from the Fire Dept. to the Ballfield was put forth by Stucki and accepted by council as an option if no other acceptable solution is presented.
City Printer: Council was updated on the old city printer that no longer is working. A temporary replacement was purchased and will be used over the next month to evaluate if it will work long term or if a more commercial model will be needed.
Open for Discussion: Next meeting of the City Council of Woden will take place on the second Monday of October, the 9th.
