REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
November 4, 2024
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Buns at 6:00pm.
Council members present were: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Tip Piper, Andrew Plessel and Dylan Brandt (6:07 arrival)
Absent: None
Piper made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for October 7, 2024, payment of bills totaling $21,926.42 and financial reports, Stucki seconded
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
Public Hearing for 24-25 Water Fund Budget Amendment Opened: Hearing opened at 6:02. Motion to close made by Plessel at 6:15, 2nd by Brandt.
Ayes- 5 Nays- 0 Motion Carried
Water Maintenance Budget Resolution 24-8: Council discussed the Resolution to increase the Water Fund Budget by $20,000 as was agreed to at the last meeting. Brandt made the motion to pass resolution 24-8, Plessel 2nd the motion.

Main street camera and DVR repair/replacement: Invoice was received by the city and submitted to ICAP for Grant approval.
NEW BUSINESS
Post office lease renewal: Discussed the letter from the Post Office requesting to accept the extension of the lease listed in the lease agreement. Motion by Rout to agree to extention, 2nd by Brandt.

City Audit Fndings: The council discussed the Preliminary Report Finding provided to the city and was made aware the final report will be released sometime in the coming months. Changes and updates to City operations and policies were discussed.
Water Rates: The council discussed the Woden Water Rates established by Ordinance that were never increased in the City Billing Utility software. The rates have been adjusted to be in accordance with code, and will take effect next billing cycle. The public will be notified of the change in the next bill mailings.
Open Discussion: Discussed the new City Can Collection trailer placed on Main. Due to the condition of the trailer, the city is going to discuss an alternate with the Community Club members.
