REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
February 2, 2026
The City Council of the City of Woden met in regular session on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 6:00pm, Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Buns at 6:00pm.
Council members present: Bill Rout, Jeff Stucki, Andrew Plessel, Tip Piper and Dylan Brandt (6:45 Arrival)
Absent: None
Plessel made the motion to approve the agenda, minutes written for January 5, 2026, payment of bills totaling $19,038.67 and financial reports, Stucki seconded
Ayes- 4 (Brandt Absent) Nays- 0 Motion Carried
OLD BUSINESS
City Budget Planning Session: The Council discussed each department’s income and expense budget recommendations for the 26-27 fiscal year budget. The Council also met with the Library Board to discuss the Library Budget and City Allotment to the library. The figure of $7000 was decided upon by mutual agreement.
ICAP Grant Application for 2026 - Discussion: Initial discussions were started to allow the council to come up with a list of potential security purchases for the city to apply to the yearly ICAP grant. These discussions will continue at the next council meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Set Tax Levy Hearing Date for Monday, April 6th: Was voted on and approved by the Council. Piper made the motion, Rout seconded.

Community Center Bingo Night Liquor License Approval: Was voted on and approved by the Council. Stucki made the motion, Rout seconded.

Mowing Bid Request Review for Posting: Council discussed the merits of posting the bid notice and it was decided to post the notice and place the notice on the City Website. No further advertising will be used this year due to lack of acceptable bids received last year via newsprint ad.
July Fireworks: Brandt made the motion to provide $900 funding for the annual fireworks display put on by the Krull family each summer, Piper seconded.

Open Discussion: Discussed starting a search for a part time City Clerk to assist at the City Office. This would be a part-time position to help boost City Staff.
Adjournment: Plessel made motion to adjourn at 7:43 PM, Piper seconded
