Animal licenses are due
The license application form is available on the city website wodenia.com or at the Woden Post Office.
Complete the form and turn it and proof of current vaccination along with the $10.00 per animal fee to the city office. If you have any questions contact the city clerk at 641-926-5715.
Failure to purchase a licenses for each animal may result in a maximum fine of $500.00.
Final warning letters will be mailed later this month for those who have pets registered last year and have not complied with our registration requirements.
Council Elections
The city elections for Mayor and City Council are to be held on November 4th.
Woden will have 3 City Council seats up for re-election, along with the Mayor position. Filing period begins August 25th with a submission deadline of September 18th for anyone wanting to be on the ballot.
Paperwork is filed by the candidate with Hancock County and can be obtained from the Hancock County website, or contact the Woden City Office.
